Teesside International Airport (TIA)

Teesside International Airport was brought back into public control in February 2019. Since 2019, it has been undertaking a Ten-Year Turnaround Plan to increase passenger numbers and on-site businesses to bring itself back into profit. Considerable investment has seen its terminal, land and assets transformed, attracting new businesses such as Willis Aviation Services, Airbourne Colours and ABL 1Touch while existing businesses such as FedEx and Draken have undergone significant expansion. New routes to popular destinations such as Alicante, Antalya, Corfu, Faro, Guernsey, Majorca and Malaga have been secured, leading to the airport welcoming its highest passenger numbers since 2009.
